High number of cystine crystals (urinary pH 6.0) found in the urine of a patient with renal stone disease. In this case it was the finding of these crystals which led to the diagnosis of the inherited condition cystinuria. Note the smaller size and the simpler structure of these crystals when compared to the other cystine crystals shown in the Gallery.
