Crystals with the appearance of “daisies” (arrows)(urinary pH 7.0). These particles have been identified, by infrared spectroscopy, as a rare morphological variant of calcium carbonate crystals (Fogazzi GB, Baroni S, Garigali G, Daudon M. An unusual type of crystalluria (appearing only once every 130 years?) Nephrol Dial Transplant 2004; 19: 1907-09).
