Triple phosphate (struvite) crystals with a typical “coffin lid” appearance (urinary pH 8.0). The presence of many bacteria and of a cluster of transitional superficial epithelial cells is suggestive for urinary tract infection (probably due to urea-splitting bacteria such as Ureaplasma urealyticum or Corynebacterium urealyticum).
