Short chains of Candida, some of which are linear while others have a ”branched” appearance. Some yeast bodies show buds (arrows), which are a typical feature of Candida. In most instances, Candida is found in the urine due to contamination from genital secretions, especially in women with vaginitis. Candida is also frequent in the urine of subjects with a permanent bladder catheter.
