Isomorphic red blood cells (RBC), with their smooth and regular roundish edges, intermingled with some squamous epithelial cells. Please note that: A. Some RBC have a reduced haemoglobin content (the so-called “ghost cells”)(arrows); B. The haemoglobin content is not a criterion for the classification of RBC as isomorphic or dysmorphic.
